This is a porcelain mug made in the Nerikomi style with layers of colored clay. The inside, rim and handle are glazed clear. The outside is bare and has been sanded and sealed which gives a matte appearance.
This is a thin, porcelain item that was made by hand. No piece is perfectly round or symmetrical. Microwave and dishwasher safe, although its life will be extended with handwashing. ~SC
