Join us at Plough Gallery Saturday, June 26 at 9 AM as we kick off our first ever RAKU Pottery Firing Demonstration. Albany potter Kirby Gregory along with Plough's resident potter Mark Errol will demonstrate the ancient tradition of Raku. There will be at least two exciting demonstrations of this technique beginning at 9 AM, with more to follow through the morning. Since this is our first attempt of Raku firing at our facility, there will be a learning curve for us as well. The potters are experienced in this technique but have not attempted this outdoors at Plough. Inclement weather could certainly be a limiting factor and affect the demo timing and longevity. Hope to see a good crowd for this first Raku firing at Plough Gallery.
