Juried Ornament Call – Plough Gallery – 9th Annual Holiday Maker's Market Event.

Plough Gallery welcomes artists to join us in celebrate the Holidays with handmade ornaments. We are open to all materials that are safe and nontoxic. Traditionally, our ornaments are made of clay, wood, fibers, glass and other more common art and craft materials but we open to what your creativity can bring to our community.
Please e-mail 3 to 5 example images of your ornaments for jurying to [email protected] by October 24th, 2022. There is no fee to apply. Ornaments will be juried by ceramic artist and educator, Lindsay Rogers of Johnson, City, TN. Ornaments accepted into the show must be received by Plough Gallery no later than November 1, 2022.
All ornaments must come ready to hang on a tree, where appropriate and be priced/marked with an inventory sheet, description of materials. Chosen ornaments must be shipped at the artists cost, Plough Gallery will pay return shipping costs. Proceeds from Ornaments sold will be split at a 60/40 percentage breakdown, 60% of sales proceeds go to the artist, Plough Gallery receives 40% of sales. Artist Commission Checks will be mailed on December 31, 2022.
Plough Gallery reserves the right to photograph ornaments, to use images for promotion on social media and for display and retail sale on our website: www.ploughgallery.com, and to use images for promotional materials regarding the 9th Annual Holiday Event at Plough Gallery. Any ornaments received after the due date may risk not being photographed and/or placed online for sales, and available only in-house until they can be photographed at a later date and added to the website for online sales.

About the Juror:
LINDSAY ROGERS is a potter, educator, and gardener living in the mountains of East Tennessee. She received her BA with a concentration in printmaking from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in ceramics from the University of Florida. Over the years, Lindsay has used her work as a ceramic artist to advocate for a more locally based, sustainable food system. She has participated in collaborations with artists, chefs, and farmers. Her pottery, writing, and words can be found in a range of publications from books to blogs, magazines, and podcasts. She is currently an Associate Professor of Ceramics at East Tennessee State University. |
