Who We Are

Plough. Sow. Reap. Share.

Plough is a small contemporary art gallery in South Georgia. We specialize in showing and selling handmade contemporary fine craft. We feature work by local, regional, national and international studio artists. We feature rotating art exhibits that are free to view and open to the public during regular gallery hours.

Our Mission:  to cultivate the arts in the surrounding area, provide exposure and opportunities to experience a variety of exhibits and events in order to stimulate curiosity and provide education about traditional craft and art.

Our Motto:
 CULTIVATE COMMUNITY

Our History

Plough Gallery was started in August 2014 by Mark Errol, MFA, and Glenn Josey. It began as a studio space for Mark to produce his pottery (MarksMud). After a time we observed a desire, and a hunger in the community for artistic opportunities. Realizing art nourishes the soul just as food nourishes the body, we wanted to propagate that passion and added a small gallery space. We continue to seek out new artists to represent and currently show work of more than eighty regional and national makers. The gallery was named PLOUGH (the British spelling as opposed to PLOW as a twist and a way to get folks talking) as a nod to the agrarian roots of our community.
